The Growing Problem of Illegal Street Racing as Seen in Street Racing Videos

One driver challenges the other for a race and the other one agreed. As soon as the light turned green, off they go with the fastest take off that you never thought they can. This is what you call street racing, and it is illegal. Why? You can just imagine the consequences of these acts.
Hundreds and thousands of accidents happen each year because of reckless driving, and street racing is considered as one. We can often see this in movies but we aren’t aware it is also commonly done in the streets. Bystanders and pedestrians are the ones vulnerable to these dangers and before we know it, maybe one of these days, we might also become victims.
However, the trend continues to grow because authorities are not exerting too much effort to stop it. Mostly we see these young drivers involved in street racing breaking speed limits because they are not given attention, time and place to do their thing. That’s why when they have the chance and see their opponents in the streets, the race will go on. Even if they are warned of fines, and are even witnesses of innumerable accidents due to inconsiderate and careless driving, this is not a threat to them, because what they need is a release of their desires, even if there is danger involved.
Some young racers believe there is no harm in what they are doing. They often see this being done in the movies but they are not convinced that it is violent and dangerous. There are even videos now seen and downloaded and they feel they want to be involved in it even more. They are only after the realization of their passions without thinking of the danger they are getting themselves into.
It is not bad to involve oneself in racing, but it should be done in the proper place. The authorities should see the disadvantages of street racing and should offer these racers a chance to show their aggressiveness and give them outlet to enjoy their sport, such as the provision of drag racing in drag strips. It is a sport that should be cultivated with the appropriate training and discipline. It is a skill that needs to be developed especially for young drivers who still needs years of experience before they should be allowed to drive out in the streets where many innocent drivers, passengers and pedestrians can be victims without their knowing.
